I can't for the life of me find any way to see or edit artwork in Metadata Manager since upgrading to Version 3.0.5871.0.

Am I missing something obvious. The pop-up menu now only has Identify and Refresh.

Look like you have to do it from the show level not Metadata Manager now.  But I imagine an option will be added back to the Metadata Manager.

yea i guess i forgot that, but in general i would strongly suggest browsing the library normally and using the inline editing features. a lot of work is being done to make that a very fast process for you.

Actually the Edit metadata manager is the fastest way to do this, the list view there gives you a quick visual indicator of all movies and shows missing images and makes going around it much quicker, I for once would put a request to bring that option back :)

@@Luke, I agree with NullMind.

Metadata Manager is a very convenient central place to edit metadata and see what is missing.

Very disappointed to see this removed from the metadata manager. Especially after adding a new show.. so I can upgrade the Season posters so they are in the same format (e.g how the season numbers are shown on the poster along with any banners etc). Also add in Tags and other info that isn't collected.

While I agree that it would be nice to have a working metadata manager back (I can't even expand the library folders in 5886), I'm not sure why multiple seasons is really a problem with the browsing interface. If you're looking at the show level, all the seasons are right next to each other. Right click, edit, right click, edit...

I've always used the metadata manager to edit mostly information (e.g., I create personal genres and add info to movie overviews) and sometimes images.

Unless I'm mistaken I can't do that any longer (starting with 5886), although I admit I don't know what Luke means when he writes "strongly suggest browsing the library normally". If he means selecting Library, then Folders, then selecting a folder, it only allows image editing, which is something I rarely do.

So, my vote is to rapidly bring back the full metadata manager functionality, please.

Thanks,

Keith

What he's referring to is that in the web client, if you click the three vertical dots, or just right click the poster, there are Edit and Edit Image options that give you popups of the metadata manager and image manager for the thing you just right-clicked on. No need to go find it in the metadata manager if you already were looking at it through the web client. The example below was me right-clicking on season one. It also would have worked if I clicked the main poster for the series above.

If you just want to edit images you can also just click the poster in question.  It will pop-up the image management tool.  You just need to be on the details screen for the item you want to edit so if you want to edit movie images click that movie to open its details page and then click the poster.  If you want to edit a show poser open the show, (if you want to edit a season open the season) then click the poster.

I would have to agree with most above.  Please keep the Metadata Manager as it was. I, for one, do not use the Web Client to edit anything, as it takes too long.  The Metadata Manager keeps everything together in a convenient list.

@@Luke couldn't agree more with the concerns listed above. Please bring back the image editing capabilities in the Metadata Manager. It was a fast and convenient (read: one-stop-shop) way to edit not only the metadata but also the images. P.S. Not to mention the ability to find missing artwork automatically, compared to the labor-intensive method of searching each type of image individually.
