bustersnm 0 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 (edited) Hello all, I am currently on Version 3.0.5871.0 and my Emby server is setup to automatically update. I use MCE with Emby installed to watch the movies, and over the last couple of months I noticed movies missing there cover art. Come to find out my movies are disappearing completely and getting deleted some how. I don't have logs because i just started to noticed what was happening. I have turned on Debug, but was hoping someone maybe has seen this in the past. I have been upgrading a couple of my movies from DVD to Blu-Ray. So i would delete the old movie and its contents then add the new blu-ray copy to the folder then run the scan library option. However, most are ones i haven't watch in a few months. Can someone please help? Thanks, bustersnm Edit: I am also the only person in my household. No others have access. Edited February 16, 2016 by bustersnm
Happy2Play 9783 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 There are a couple of topics about image issues right now. But a log will help with verifying version and configuration.
bustersnm 0 Posted February 16, 2016 Author Posted February 16, 2016 Thank you for your reply. Its not just the Images that are being deleted but the whole movies files. MP4 and .avi are going missing. This is my main concern that its actually deleting my movie files. server-63591182547.zip
Happy2Play 9783 Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Is stuff actually getting deleted or is Emby just not displaying them? Emby is producing a lot of "Unable to find linked item at path" for a lot of your media.
bustersnm 0 Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 Some of those the files are still there other its not. The ones with .109 shouldn't be there as i don't run that server anymore. all are now on the Freenas link.
Happy2Play 9783 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 You may want to make sure your .mblink files are correct then if you removed that library folder location via Library on the server. Mediabrowser-Server\root\default\Movies
bustersnm 0 Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 (edited) Ok i will have to google the mblink and last part of that cause i am not sure what you mean. I have removed the link to the .109 server the only link i have is now on the freenas. Edit: ok i have verified the mblink... \\freenas\video\movies shows the same as the gui. Thanks again for your help. Edited February 17, 2016 by bustersnm
Luke 42083 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 do you take your storage offline? most likely the server has been running library scans while your media is offline.
bustersnm 0 Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 No i have a 24tb server running Freenas it stays on 24/7/365. I can restart it, but i don't think it will rectify the issue with the deleted content. Thanks.
Luke 42083 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Ok, in any event, there's no evidence in these logs of files being deleted, therefore there isn't really much I can offer. If you can catch it in the act or immediately thereafter and grab the log from the timeframe, then that might help.
ebr 16187 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Make sure you haven't pointed your cache path (or maybe transcoding temp path as well) to a parent folder of any of your media items. That is the only thing I can think of that would cause actual deletions.
