yakirp88 3 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 hi there, how can i set the remote access address be static? it always changes my server is on win10 machine and i am trying to connect through kodi thanks in advance
xnappo 1611 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 You mean your external IP address? For that you need to use something like no-ip.org If you mean internal, then there should be settings on your router to either reserve DDNS addresses for certain MACs.

xnappo 1611 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Well, it is your internet provider that is changing your IP - the no-ip.org website will assign you a free name - like: yakirp88.no-ip.org - and most routers have a setting where you can tell it your no-ip.org name and it will update it automatically. Just google for 'how to use no-ip.org' or something - it is a very common question.
yakirp88dell 1 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 ok its a paid service i guess. is there a way to use emby connect on kodi? if i have understand it should connect to the server with no ip required
xnappo 1611 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 no-ip.org is also free, but you have to log on once a month.' duckdns.org is more free. Set it up - it is useful for more than just Emby!
yakirp88dell 1 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 but anybody knows if i can use emby connect service somehow on kodi?
Angelblue05 4132 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 No it's not supported yet. But very soon, it's probably next on my list after we release a new stable version. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
