How to tell what playback mode is being used?

I want to make sure that Kodi and Emby gives med the best picture/sound quality avaliable when playing a movie in my HT.

 

Is there any way to figure out what kind og playback mode is being used when playing a movie? It is set to addon default, but not sure if it is transcoding or not.

Check your emby dashboard while playing something in Kodi. Just mouseover the kodi device under active devices in the dashboard to see playback info.
