Merge artists

Hi,

 

I have some artists which are written differently in the ID3Tags e.g. 

 

- The Alan Parsons Project

- Alan Parsons Project, The

 

How can I merge these artists so it will shown only once as a artist? 

Checking all > 10200 songs is not an option.

Even though I don't expect that it's the answer you want, it's probably going to be best in the long run to spend the time creating consistent ID3Tags for the case where you have multiple tags for the same artist. If you update the tags and do a Library Scan the artists should merge in emby.

The best thing to do is edit the id3 tags and then just let Emby react to that.

I use MP3tag for this.  Made really short work of it.  There are more automated tools but I preferred to review things by hand and make my own decision on things like what to call a band.
