Has anyone thought about a ChromeOS client?

We have clients for iOS, Android, Windows 8, Roku, etc... However has anyone thought about a client for ChromeOS? With the new Chromebooks and the Chromebox there will be more market penetration of these devices. There is also an upcoming All-In-One from LG using the ChromeOS.

How does the WebUI handle on the Chromebook out of interest?

I don't actually have a device yet. Will possibly purchase on in 2014 though. My work could be done almost exclusively through a Chromebook. As it is Google Chrome, I doubt there would be a problem with the Web Client though. Little too complicated for my Autistic Stepson though.

If you are interested in getting a Chromebook client, you may have to try and recruit a developer yourself. Unfortunately I don't think there isn't enough interest for the devs here to take it on (my own assumption). You could look around the Chromebook forums or try Github or SourceForge.

Wayne, just continuing from your thread about donating.  A great way to help us that is just as valuable, is to think about giving us some of your time rather than money. i'm sure we can find a developer who might be interested in this but we need to get the word out. i have a long list of sites to promote mb3 on and not enough people to help me do it. when i end up doing it it just pulls me away from development.

chrome book specs arent high enough for any type of useful local image caching, or local HD decoding, web client would be the best route, an http shortcut to the existing web UI would be just as useful as a webUI based app for chromeOS, starting from scratch at that.

The Asus Chromebox has stats decent enough for a client on par with Android or iOS clients:

Web Client is nice and I actually have a wrapper for it that can be used on Chrome OS but it still has some issues there.  I am just looking for solutions to put web devices in every room without the cost of the PC. With the new FireTV, I might just go that route and hope for a 10' interface on the Android app. Though not sure the FireTV will work with a keyboard for Facebook and web access.

I see that a ChromeOS App has been made, but for some reason it won't connect to the server, is there anyone on here that can look in to it?
