Do I have to pay for apps on different platforms?

I'm sorry if this is answered elsewhere.  I couldn't find anything about it with a search.

I'm coming back to Emby after some time fooling with Plex, and just discovered that the Emby app within Google Play requires payment to be usable.

This is not a huge deal--different than what I remembered though.

My question, though, is this:

Do I need to pay again for each different platform I'm using Emby on?  I have an Android phone, my wife has an iPhone, I'm running a Roku box in one room and a Fire TV in another.  Along with a Chromecast that I've got kicking around for streaming music.

So if I want to actually use Emby on all of those devices, do I need to buy it multiple times?

Roku and Chromecast are free. It depends on the app, but the general answer is yes you do.

Or you can get Emby Premiere and then you get free app access to the apps listed here:
