nague 5 Posted February 4, 2016 Posted February 4, 2016 I've noticed an issue with subtitles sync, in Chrome client, in very specific conditions. The issue is present at least in the two last stables releases (3.0.5821 and 3.0.5818). And I’m pretty sure it was not few time ago. Subtitles are displayed too early (around 2 seconds) in the followed conditions: Client: Chrome 48.0.2564.97 MKV video files External or internal subtitles (previously extracted) Transcoding (basically direct play is not possible with MKV video and Chrome…) Streaming rate superior or equal to the video bit rate If I select a streaming rate lower than the video bite rate, (so video is being re-encoded), subtitles are perfectly sync. Have you ever noticed this issue ?
nague 5 Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 The issue is still present in 3.0.5870. I'm surprised nobody is experiencing this kind of problem. By the way, the issue is not present with Firefox web client so it's definitely related to Chrome.
Luke 42077 Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 this is a known issue when stream copying and seeking. it will be resolved in a future release. thanks.
Bonfi 2 Posted February 18, 2016 Posted February 18, 2016 I was going to open a new thread for this issue, then I found this. Just to report that I'm having this problem to, version 3.0.5871.0.
