Edge Transcoding AC3 to AC3 ?

Hi All,

 

It was a nice addition to have transcoding to AC3 support added for Edge.  Is it possible to further enhance the process to just do a copy if the source is also AC3 ? 

 

Stream #0:1 -> #0:1 (ac3 (native) -> ac3 (native))

 

Who knows other app clients may benefit as well, if the supported/requested audio codec is the same as the source.
