MBT playing DVD iso with menus doesn't quite work with mce remote control

hiya

 

just got latest (3.0.5097.22952) version of MBT running with MBS (3.0.5099.2102) on W8.1 (I cannot adequately explain how wonderful it is, even if it is only alpha...I've been waiting for MBC to return to W8, but MBT is an even better return...thanks to all concerned)

 

anyway, now I've buttered you up a bit...I have a problem...

 

when I play a dvd iso with menus (full rip) the dvd plays through to the dvd menu screen, but then the menu is unresponsive to either remote control key-presses or keyboard input UNTIL I (left) click on a blank part of the screen with the cursor

 

once I've done this remote and keyboard work fine

 

not the biggest deal in the world, but it means I can't use my remote on it's own yet...still need keyboard

 

am I missing something?

sorry...possible not as accurate a statement as it could have been...

 

I used MBC in W7

 

when I upgraded to W8 I couldn't use it any more

 

until now...

 

I suppose I should have said 'become available in W8' but that didn't capture the fact that I was previously using MB in W7, and I was trying to make my posting concise

 

guess I'll go for quantity next time...
