Same issue for me.

The only way I can get the cast info pulled down is by manually refreshing each cast member. The "Refresh people" task does not get that info. Refreshing the movie itself doesn't either.

CFC

same here with latest dev build from today.

Did you update your custom path when IBN was merged into Metadata folder or move your previous folders to new location?  Post a server log so we can verify your settings.

Unfortunately, I am just an end user and not a software guy. I don't know what a "custom path" and "IBN" are, so no I have not updated them to my knowledge or moved any folders.

I have attached a log.  If you see anything thing that might help please let me know.  Thanks.

me too - cast & crew actors images are still missing!

I used meta<browser/> to download metadata and Media-browser MCE for many years,

after i upgrade to win10 (no MCE available) so i install Emby Theater and Kodi.

By chance is there a folder in your ImageByNamge folder called "metadata"?

:)  Indeed, I found the folder

Where do I need to change the path to read the correct location?

@@Luke would have to confirm but I think it is a bug.  I have seen mixed results when pointing to a new metadata location, I believe do to naming convention.  So it is trial and error.  I bet if you click edit on an image in the web client you will see it point to the metadata folder so you would have to change your the Metadata path to your IBN\metadata and move all your images to the metadata folder.

Stable:  I have one server set to Z:\Emby\metadata and sees Z:\Emby\metadata.

Beta:  And another server I had to set to Z:\ServerFolders\Emby-Server to sees Z:\ServerFolders\Emby-Server\metadata

The sub-folder is by design. We've seen a lot of cases where users set the same path for everything - metadata, cache, transcoding temp directory, etc. This ends up causing problems, which leads them to come back and report issues, so as a result, whatever path you enter, we end up using a sub-folder underneath.

For the next release and in the current beta, behavior is improved to help with this.

When scanning in new titles, even if you have existing metadata we'll still go out to the internet to try and pull in people information.

Also, when opening individual person detail screens, there will be some on demand refreshing to attempt to fill in metadata for people that don't have any.
