EMBY Server uninstalled

Recommended Posts

Hi,

This morning my EMBY theartre would not connect, thought my NUC was off so investigated. Found EMBY server missing, looks like the install may have failed from the Feb 2nd update.

Anyone else see this. I assume I can just download the new version and all will be ok but will not get to it until tonight.

Make sure you don't have an anti-virus program quarantining it.  Norton loves to do that.

No I have Windows 7 64 bit for the NUC and using windows defender. I will do a fresh server install now. No one else chimed in so I suspect something bad happened local to me during the install.

Thanks

Does the exe still exist in %appdata%\Emby-Server\System? (MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe)

Thanks,

So had some time and attempted to install the beta from the website, install kicked off and failed. I got an error directories were not empty. Sorry I know I should have wrote the error message down.

Rebooted the NUC and picked the stable version 3.0.5821.0, install ran fine, library was in the console and noted all my saved locations to my D drive were correct. I have a small SSD on my NUC so all thumbnails and supporting files go on my large USB drive.

On the server console it told me I was upgraded to 3.0.5894 and I had to restart. On restart EMBY server was gone again.

I tried the beta install again...and all seemed to go ok this time.

I have it up BUT appears it does not load on boot even though the check box is set.

At this point happy to have what I have and understand it is a beta.

Thanks

m
