Pais 125 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 After migrating to 3.0.5861.1 I was missing all the images from my ImagesByName folder. I found a few threads here about the changes to relocate the folder and proceeded to move all my ImagesByName content to the new location. It seems that the people.xml files are not being read on either a Library Scan or a People Refresh. I need to manually go person by person and refresh them in order for the people.xml to be updated. Is there a way to batch refresh all people using my existing people.xml files?
Luke 42077 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 the front page of the server dashboard shows the metadata path. make sure the people folder is under there, then run the people refresh.
Sammy 790 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 I didn't know that there was a 3.0.5861.1. If I download from the Emby site can I install this? Right now, after upgrading to 30.0.5861.0, it still shows 0.0% on the Clean Database after about 4 hours running.
Pais 125 Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Thanks Luke for the suggestion. My server is now on 3.0.5862.0. From the server dashboard: C:\Users\HomeAdmin\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\metadata Path to my people folder: C:\Users\HomeAdmin\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\metadata\People I ran the people refresh but I still don't have metadata for any of my people. server-63590114471.txt
Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Can you post a full server log, please.
Pais 125 Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Restarted the server and reran the people refresh. server-63590116448.txt
Happy2Play 9780 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 So you moved People from \ImagesByName\People to \metadata\People. You will probably want to manually remove this location from your system.xml. ( \MediaBrowser-Server\config) You can remove entire tag or just clear the field."ItemsByNamePath":\\\\Vault\\Documents\\MediaBrowser\\ImagesByName @@Luke - Should this merge option have any affect? @@Pais - Does changing this setting to true have any affect? (Shut down server-make change-Start server-Library scan-then Refresh People) "MergeMetadataAndImagesByName":false
Luke 42077 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 if you have a data/metadata folder, try moving it to be next to /data instead of underneath

Making either one or both of the changes didn't result in my people metadata returning. if you have a data/metadata folder, try moving it to be next to /data instead of underneath I did have a data/metadata folder with about 400 MB (23,000 items) which I moved to be next to /data. Exited server, restarted, ran a library scan then people scan. Still no metadata for people who weren't manually refreshed.
