spyko 7 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Is it possible the 2D & 3D versions of the same movie to be treated (and counted also) as one? I don't know if other users agree but I would prefer for example, the 2 movie files under same movie folder with one metadata set and before playback to select play 2D or play 3D. And even better with another nice indicator of CoverArt to show that movie is stored in both versions.
Luke 42077 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Hi, we already support this. Check out our movie naming wiki: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Movie%20naming Scroll down to multi-version naming
spyko 7 Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 Hi, again and thanks for reply. The key for auto grouping was the " - " in filenames. I had forgotten about it, my fault. Unless I am missing something else again, emby still auto-chooses one of the two to play. right? Maybe this is useful when transcoding, to select the 720p over the 1080p but it's not the same between 2D & 3D because not all devices are 3D-capable. I made a set with auto-group and another one manually. On movie page, the 3D poster is shown but always the 2D is played on all devices inside local network. So how can I specifically select the 3D one to watch on my 3D TV? Any suggestions? Till now I have such movies under a movie folder, not grouped. On movies page both versions are displayed but on collections page their movie folder is shown instead, among the other movies in collection. So I can pick which one to play.
