Jobber8742 9 Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 (edited) I'm not able to connect the my Emby Server from an external source. I get the message "We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again". I just set up a new server on a different computer and I'm configuring it. I have allowed the port 8096 in my router, allowed port 8096 in windows firewall, allowed the program access through windows firewall, and don't have any external certs set up. Log and screenshots attached. Edit: I'm trying to connect through Emby Connect if that matters. I have tried a browser and the Android App. server-63590029193.txt Edited February 2, 2016 by Jobber8742

I've gone through that. In-Network Connections work fine. Opened the ports on the router and firewall as shown in the attached pictures above. Ran AntiVirus and it came up clean. I had some issues on my old server computer as well. Sometimes it would connect and other times it would not. Since I moved the server to a different machine, I have not been able to get it to connect at all from external locations. I'm testing on my Android phone on the cell network. Have tested the app and the webpage.

On your external IP address (not shown in the pics above), is it a numbers only (ie 23.123.345.567:8096) or is it letters and numbers (ie g65ed.d4gh.h356.6yh8)? Toys

Jobber8742 9 Posted February 3, 2016 Author Posted February 3, 2016 if i had to guess the port forwarding on your router is probably trying to forward to your old machine. I deleted that port forward for the other machine and created a new one with the new server machine. I just stopped by my mom's house and tried to connect from there and it's still not connecting. Thought maybe it was because I was trying to connect from a cell network, but that's not the case.
