lehel999 0 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Hello, I have been experiencing an issue with Emby, where movies played within the server network stream fine and movies played outside the network over the internet get capped at 2mbps. ISP upload speeds are 7mbps, and the movie bitrate is 4-5mbps. Streaming the file over FTP is fine, only through Emby it is capped at 2mpbs causing stuttering while watching. I have tried to rule out transcoding problems, viewing the file while it is being transcoded, however it makes no difference if the file needs to be transcoded or not. The "Internet streaming bitrate limit" parameter is set to 100. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
Schimi 26 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I have the same problem... (seen on Chromecast, FireTV Box & Stick.... no more tested).. and i think that´s a ISP "problem" ) maybe pairing. I could reproduce it with (In Germany) "Telekom" to "Unitymedia (Cable)" with "Telekom" to "Vodafone" (DSL) it works with over 6mbs (not tested maximum I had a VDSL (vectoring) 100Down and 40Up (Sync with 103/37)

lehel999 0 Posted February 1, 2016 Author Posted February 1, 2016 What client? I have tried with Chrome, the Emby windows 10 app, and android app. However, I tried again this morning and the problem seems to have resolved itself, Emby is now streaming at at the source bitrate.
