Transcoding, Streamcopy, Direct play - server -> chromecast

When im using chromecast i have a problem.

My home network is very good, and direct play high bit rate files works fine, but if it needs transcoding, then one of my servers only can support 720p 4 mbps.

 

So that means that the chromecast is setup for 720p 4 mbps, and now all my media is transcoded :-(

Would it be possible to have a maximum bit rate for direct play, and one for streamcopy and lastly one for transcoding - It is a different need - so one bit rate fit all is not the best way for best quality.
