And if I use this, can I still use Kodi addons that work on the media library, or will they no longer work? e,g the virtual EPG? Addons like Artwork Downloader, movie organizer etc are made redundant by using Emby, correct?

Up to you, the beta is actually better than stable right now - we will be pushing it to stable soon, if you do use the beta, I would turn off auto updates in Kodi 2. Most should still work. 3. Correct.
