xXSagaiaXx 25 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Having a lot of issues with recording tv shows. About half of the time the show will be on the recorded tv but will have zero minutes. Last night tried to record undercover boss and it stopped 18 minutes in. I tried looking at the logs and there is a lot of error reports in the log. server-63589692919.zip
Luke 42080 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I'll need to add more logging, but there are all kinds of networking errors here. The directory name \\EMBYSERVER\TV2 is invalid. Just one example. I would setup your library with the direct paths if this is all on the same system.

xXSagaiaXx 25 Posted February 4, 2016 Author Posted February 4, 2016 Okay so correcting the path has improved the loading time that it takes my shield tv's to display anything on the screen. Still having trouble with the recording. If you notice around the 12:30 mark it says it fired up for one of my wifes soaps but it didnt record anything, server-63590078537.zip
Luke 42080 Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I will need to add more logging to chase this down because it does look like it started to record. If you want to jump on the beta the builds there are more frequent so we can work to solve this, just make sure to read the blog concerning the beta before doing that.

Luke 42080 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 ok, in your case, interestingly it's trying to record the same episode on two different channels at the same time, and writing to the same file. that's obviously going to cause a problem. i'll have to think of how we're going to handle that.

I have fixed those issue. I know that I had some singular series recordings that were never doubled that never recorded. I'll have to check in a couple of days and post the logs.

There was another showing at 21:00 but nothing ever started and it was a different episode. server-63592473600.zip
Luke 42080 Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 everything looks normal though for the real oneals. are you sure something else didn't possibly move or delete the file after? keep in mind you are running pre-release but not staying up to date. that makes it difficult to offer much help because work has been done in these areas since then. i put out 5891 5 days ago. you were still on that build as of yesterday even though newer builds were available. if you're going to run pre-release please make sure to allow it to auto-update.

xXSagaiaXx 25 Posted March 7, 2016 Author Posted March 7, 2016 (edited) I set a new series to record. Once Upon A Time. If you look at the 19:00 mark it shows where it tried to record. All I end up with after it's finished is a 708kb file of nothing. I'm on latest version. Like I mentioned earlier it happens with random shows and at random times.
