Libraries and multiple users question

I have been using a single folder share to store all of our TV shows \\Qnap\TV\.

We have 4 users sharing a single TV library that keeps does a great job of keeping track of our individual watched show progress.  The only problem I have is the kids are starting to load lots of cartoons and our TV show library just growing and growing...

I'm looking for a way to hide certain TV shows that my or myself don't care to watch so we don't have a huge list to scroll through all the time.  What would be the best way to do this?  I saw the option under manage to 'remove from library' but was worried that would remove the show completely from the library and not just my profile.

I had thought about making a TV library for each family member and point it to the same TV shared folder \\Qnap\TV\.  Not sure if that would cause issues or if there is another way to accomplish this.

Create a separate physical location for the shows that only your kids should see and move them there.

Then create a new library pointing to that location and the main location.

Then give your kids users access to the new library (and not the main one) and revoke it for you and your wife.

Ah okay.  That was a concern.  Wasn't sure if I could have another (kids) library pointing to the same folder share as another (parents) library without breaking something.
