Metamanager for music not working correctly

Hello,

 

So I'm just looking at putting my music into Emby.  I have my TV and Movies working with it and its beautiful.  best sync between the app and Kodi and remote access.  Anyway. I have a CD that was a fan made which is a mash up of Eminem and Linkin Park. So one thing is I noticed when it pulls it does have a matching Musicbrainz entry.  It pulls down the image and some data.  However this is where I'm having confusion and unable to save.  So the CD as I mentioned has Linkin Park and Eminem in it.  So the Artist field is fine but it lists this as Eminem & Linkin Park.  I see that we can put this as Eminem; Linkin Park, same thing with the Album Artists fields. So 2 things.  

 

1. If I change Artists field to Eminem; Linkin Park it shows as 2 seperate artist on the page, however I have no way to edit the artist images for linkin park because I do not yet have a folder for the artist.  This is just testing so I do not have a folder created yet but there will be so possily this is a moot point?

 

2.  The Album Artists field does not let me update at all.  I placed in Eminem; Linkin Park I also just tried Eminem and just Linkin Park but it also did not update the field.  There for Linkin Park is not listed as an Album Artist when browsing.  When displaying in Kodi it tells me I have 2 artists but when I click in to view it is only showing Eminem.  

 

What is the best way to handle something like this?  Anyone else having this issue or not?  Is there anything I need to be setting up in the server management?

Hi, I guess this is an open issue for us although the general recommendation is to edit that information with the song id3 tags, and then let the server metadata adjust to that.
