nickkrewson 3 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 When watching recorded TV (through HDHomerun Prime recorded through Emby to local drive), the audio on the file slowly gets out of sync. By the end of an hour-long program, the audio is noticeably out of sync. By the end of a two-hour long program, the audio is VERY out of sync. So, it does appear to be incremental. Watching the TS files directly through VLC, there is no audio-sync issue. The sync problem only seems to occur when trying to playback the files through Emby. I have not found any audio issues with any other video or audio files played back through Emby, only recorded TV files. All the content is HD, either 720 or full 1080. I have already tried switching out the ffmpeg binaries that Emby uses with the most up to date binaries, but no change.
Luke 42079 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Hi, welcome. What emby app are you playing with?
nickkrewson 3 Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 I'm just trying to play through my local Emby server through Chrome.
nickkrewson 3 Posted February 9, 2016 Author Posted February 9, 2016 Hi, welcome. What emby app are you playing with? This is through the web client in Chrome. For what it's worth, I've determined that this is ONLY happening when watching recorded TV .ts files locally on Chrome. It does not happen when watching through Edge or IE. I've already tried enabling/disabling hardware acceleration in Chrome to see if it makes a difference, but it doesn't. I'm currently on Chrome version 48.0.2564.109 m, and Emby Premiere version 3.0.5821.0.
