Hakuren 2 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 When I scroll through my tv-shows in Kodi, Emby detects a library change and triggers a sync which causes the UI to reset after the scan. I have no idea which file it triggers on as it seems to be a different one every time. This issue doesn't present itself if I do not move my selection in Kodi. 14:33:10 T:11128 NOTICE: EMBY LibrarySync -> Doing LibraryChanged : Processing Added and Updated : [u'a7cc3669eca05ab1728254a249ffa10b'] 14:33:11 T:9132 NOTICE: EMBY LibrarySync -> Doing LibraryChanged : Show Progress IncrementalSync() 14:33:11 T:9132 NOTICE: EMBY LibrarySync -> Sync Database, Incremental Sync Using Server Time: 2016-01-27T13:33:05Z 14:33:11 T:9132 NOTICE: EMBY LibrarySync -> Sync Database, Incremental Sync Using Server Time -5 min: 2016-01-27T13:28:05Z 14:33:11 T:9132 NOTICE: EMBY LibrarySync -> Sync Database, Incremental Sync Setting Last Run Time Saved: 2016-01-27T13:28:05Z 14:33:11 T:10580 NOTICE: VideoInfoScanner: Starting scan .. 14:33:11 T:10580 NOTICE: VideoInfoScanner: Finished scan. xnappo 1611 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Does this happen in every skin? I can't think of what would cause that to happen. You definitely don't have this path added to native Kodi to scrape right?
Hakuren 2 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) Seems to be a skin related issue. I can reproduce it with the Rapier skin but not with confluence. I do not have any other paths than Emby in my library. Going to check if I can find the cause inside the skin's settings. Edit: Cannot find the cause of the trigger. It's a shame, I really liked the skin. Edit 2: Same issue with the "Arctic: Zephyr Exploded" skin, although only with the "Banner Plex" view mode. Edited January 27, 2016 by Hakuren
xnappo 1611 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 I have never tried that skin. That is weird - somehow the skin must be trying to change the item - which I have never heard of before.. You might ask the skin dev if he is around still.
xnappo 1611 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) Also - maybe try turning on the Kodi detailed debug log(settings->advanced in Kodi, not the addon) - maybe we will be able to see the action the skin is doing to cause it.. Edited January 27, 2016 by xnappo
Hakuren 2 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 This is a part of the resulting logfile running the Rapier skin. It seems to make requests to the Emby server for images to the show, but I don't know how that would relate to the LibrarySync trigger. cut_log.log
xnappo 1611 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 @@Angelblue05 @ @@marcelveldt @@im85288 This is an odd one - is the skin maybe requesting images at a particular resolution, and this request then adds that size image to the item?
Hakuren 2 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 Or is it related to just the banner images, since Zephyr behaved in a similar fashion but only in the banner view mode?
xnappo 1611 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Can you confirm in the web server that all your shows have banners and logos downloaded?
Hakuren 2 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 I do not have images for all of my shows. I estimate that about 30% lacks the logo image and about 5-10% lacks even more than that.

No, a skin does not have possibilities to request to the server directly..

Okay, then maybe Emby tries to find one if it doesn't exist. Recursively refresh your library and have it download images.
Hakuren 2 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 Direct Paths or Plugin Redirect? If direct then Kodi might be updating the local DB with video meta data it extracted from the file which might be triggering a local DB update which causes the sync trigger. Have a look in Settings -> Video -> File lists for some of the Kodi settings around this. I use path substitution to avoid transcoding on the internal network. Unchecking the "Extract thumbnails and video information" and "Extract chapter thumbnails" did not solve the issue. Okay, then maybe Emby tries to find one if it doesn't exist. Recursively refresh your library and have it download images. Scanning the library again gave me no more images.
Hakuren 2 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) Is 3.0.5849.0 the latest beta? Can't seem to find good information about any release list. Anyhow, this is the result. kodi.log Edited January 27, 2016 by Hakuren
Hakuren 2 Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 The beta version seems to address the problem in some way. The one scan in the log seems to be triggered as a startup scan, which I have allowed. kodi.log 1
