LeftForPlex 8 Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 One of the things holding me back from using MBT is what to do with Series that are on BluRay. I believe it will be some time still until we have a working menu on Linux/MBT/etc. Would it be possible to have a extra flag we can set per Disc/Library Entry to have that content played back by a 3rd party player? This would allow me to use TMT5 to playback Series based shows on BluRay, or BluRay discs which default to a non english track in MBT. Does that make sense? Thanks!
One2Go 120 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 This has to be done manually with all the different programs that I use. Even under MB2 you had to fool it that this is Disc1, Disc2 etc. Then manually change the meta data as well as rename the XML file. It worked for my BD series discs. I have yet to find a program for the media players that will do this also. I am using Zappiti for my Dune player and it too has to be fooled every time. Most people don't care for the discs the rip episodes or just the movie. I like my discs the way they come so manual mode it is. My meta data scraper is Media Center Master which works excellently.
A8HTPC 38 Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 I just had the same issue with a the walking dead series. I ended up creating a folder called "The Walking Dead", then within that folder, created more folders "Season 1", "Season 2", "Season 3". Then I moved each episode from the "STREAM" folder of the BD rip (BDMV\STREAM\*), and put them in the corresponding series folders. So basically. I had 2 discs that were for season 1 which made a total of 6 episodes. I found the m2ts files that were the biggest and moved them into season 1 folder. I then Renamed each individual episodes file name which was 00100.m2ts, 00102.m2ts, etc.. to the correct name for each episode, (ex. "1. Days Gone By.m2ts") I add the "1." so that episodes will be listed in order in MBT. Now I was not sure if MBT would find the pictures and information so I decided to search for the Series images and backdrops myself on google. The Series images I saved as "folder.jpg". These were the BluRay Case Covers. I also tried creating my own MBMovie.json file and point MB to the backdrop image as I was having trouble getting the backdrop image to load. Oddly enough, after I did all this, MBT found all the additional pictures and information Here are some screen shots listed in order Here are some images of the folder structure in order
