aziz 16 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Hi everyone, I have been reading past post on this issue, and I have noticed that it was an issue since may 2015, but it was suppose to have been solved. I did not upgrade my emby server for almost a year, so i did not face this issue, and all my cast information existed until 2 weeks ago, when i decided to upgrade into the latest version of emby. Now, all my movies have not cast information. Any new movies i add, get cast information. I have a large collection of movies, which means any manual refresh per movie is not a solution.. :-). I have waited over 2 weeks hoping it will auto correct, but it did not... :-( What is the solution to get cast information for all my movies, old and new.. any suggestion... if i delete the media folder and re-add it, will that solve the problem ?? will i lose the played state in the process?? any advice will be helpful. Many thanks I also seem to have errors in my log.. are they relevant??? server-63589445103.txt
Solution GhostRider 49 Posted January 26, 2016 Solution Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) First your log file has unable to load imagemagick errors. Ensure you have Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 run time installed. Did you install this when updating to the latest version of Emby? If so try rebooting your PC. If this does not fix your problem try a local refresh in the metadata manager. Pick one movie with no cast images as a sample, click on refresh and select local refresh only and no image refresh e.g. Click Ok. If this now displays the cast information for this movie repeat this step at the movie level to update all your movie files in one go. Edited January 26, 2016 by GhostRider 1
aziz 16 Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 Thanks GhostRider, I will try rebooting and the movie refresh also, and will share the results.. Thanks
aziz 16 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 The cast information is updating, and it is still on going.... thanks, my problem is resolved. I have not checked the error in the log file yet, but i will once it stops updating.
