Lancor 3 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) I've been having trouble playing certain movies from my collection through Emby (server version 3.0.5848.0) recently and just last week found what looks to be the common denominator. Most movies play back fine, but some recently added movies that have DTS-HD MA audio tracks will not. Every single movie with that audio will not play smoothly. Every 3-5 seconds the video\audio freeze and then start playing again .5-1 sec later. Through the troubleshooting process the problem has been consistent across different file types and different size files with the only common factor seeming to be the DTS-HD MA audio. However, it may be a complete coincidence. This has been tested both local and remote. Any help\guidance would be greatly appreciated. This looks to be the last hurdle in moving over 100% from Plex to Emby which I am very anxious to do. I attached both the server log file and the transcoding log from the most recent test. Hopefully I'm just missing something simple, it wouldn't be the first time. Thanks in advance for your help. -Brandon Transcode log 01252016.txt server-63589307287.txt Edited January 25, 2016 by Lancor
Luke 42083 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 try deleting the config file under program data /config/encoding.xml, then restart the server
Lancor 3 Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 I don't know what that changed, or why it worked...but it did. Thanks for the help I really appreciate it! Was that problem caused by something I did wrong? Or just a fluke?
