rhodges 49 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I don't know if it is a qucksync thing or ffmpeg, or what, but on some videos, while streaming inside my lan, videos will stop, get choppy, go black, pixelate and then come back and play on. The system is not under load. The server is an i7-4790K, 32GB of RAM. I read that the CPU supports QuickSync. The options in Emby is to use it, or auto. I don't see a none option. I don't know that is the problem, however, I know if I play the files back with MPC-HC or something else, they work fine. Hmm, I was using the Android client. I changed the quality to various values to see if it was a bandwidth thing. Still had the problem. Thinking about it, I probably need to try Chrome and make sure it isn't an Android App problem.
Luke 42083 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Currently auto doesn't use it so that's equivalent to disabling right now.
rhodges 49 Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 Ok thanks. I guess my problem is elsewhere. Next time I notice it, I'll grab a log and see if I can figure something out, or post it, failing that.
