MediaBrowser Support

I have been using mediabrowser for a few years now on my HTPC this morning I made the mistake of uninstalling it to try out Emby.

I take it there is no longer any support for mediabrowser?

I was hoping to be able to reinstall a few plugins to 2.5.1 or 2.6.2 (specifically chocolate skin and game browser) is this in anyway possible?

If not is there anyway of configuring emby to work as an MCE plugin without also running the server and needing to login/select a profile on startup?

thanks for your help.

The server is required but you should be able to set it to remember a profile

Yes, you need the server - BUT you can install the server on the same PC. Think of the server as a replacement for the MB service process that ran in the tray.

And you can configure EMC to log-in as a specific user (first page on settings - Log in behavior).

Right thanks for your help, it's taken me most of the day but I have managed to set it up quite nicely now.

It does seem to run a lot more smoothly as well although it seems I will have to purchase some sort of subscription to use game browser now.

Took me a while to work out how to log in on MCE without typing on a non-visible User.

This is probably not the right place but it would be cool if you could change it so you could press the |<< and >>| keys to move forward and back through photo's when you are in the slideshow as well as using them to skip next and previous on the video details page.

Also at least for me (this would be on the stable build 3.0.292) if you have "use custom view for series" checked on the chocolate skin when you press back after playing a show it goes to the show in the series you started watching rather than the last played show although if you press next or previous it acts as though it were the show just playing.

Anyway thanks for the help.
