Feature Request - Folder button on front page of each Library

I am a big fan of the enhanced home screens and the "next up" and "latest episodes" features in Emby theater. But I also like to navigate using my file folder structure. Much like you can still accomplish by having the "Folders view" or defining the "Legacy browsing" option in Emby for Media center. I am just wondering if it would be possible to have the best of both worlds.

 

If an option could be added to the front screen of the TV library to go straight to the file folder structure, it would make navigating my media library a lot easier. Without the folders option finding a particular tv show among so many can often take a long time. The same applies for Movies. I have each movie sub grouped into Genre and series specific folders.

 

My library is currently organized into layers of sub groups based upon genre and series like so...

 

TV Shows

     \Sci-Fi

          \Star Trek

               \Star Trek TOS

               \Star Trek TNG

               \Star Trek VOY

               \.....

          \DC

               \Arrow

               \The Flash

     \Comedy

          \Brooklyn Nine-Nine

          \The Big Bang Theory

Well technically you can add folder view back.  This adds Folders back as a view.

 

Log off

Emby-Server\config\users\user id folder\config.xml

 

set <DisplayFoldersView></DisplayFoldersView> to true

Log on
