mmmann 8 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Hello. I'd like to report my experience with the new Emby theater, and why I must uninstall it and install the old version. The new version: - Does not remember which screen to start on - Starts as a small window, regardless of last settings - Can be dragged to the 2nd monitor, but leaves its window-sized black square on the original monitor!!!! - Can be dragged to the 2nd monitor, but thereafter cannot be "grabbed" by the mouse and moved around - If you resize the window on the original monitor and THEN move it to the 2nd monitor, you can resize and move - The maximize button in the upper-right corner (between min and close) does nothing - Emby Theater doesn't scroll left and right. - A flaw shared with the old Emby theater: there's no way to enlarge the windows to exactly 1920 x <vert>. Why is this important? You want to promote an exact mapping for the best quality picture. The only way is to TRY and get 1920 is to carefully move the window until it appears that the very last blue line of pixels (from the monitor's background image) disappears at the top and at the left (requiring deft mouse usage as if you're twiddling pixels in Photoshop) and then to slowly and carefully drag the RHS or corner until it seems that it eats the last vertical blue line of pixels, or to over-expand onto the main monitor and then slowly back it off until the last line of vertical Emby Theater pixels disappears off the 1st monitor. Good luck, developers, and keep on beating on the product until it's usable on a two-monitor Windows PC. Thanks! Mike 1
Luke 42077 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Thanks for the feedback. We will look into the multi-monitor issues. The app definitely scrolls left to right though. It wouldn't function at all if that weren't working Please keep an eye on it for future updates. 1
