screwfaze 38 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 HI, I am new to Emby and really loving the software and apps so far. I have been trying to figure out how to get remote direct playing working through Kodi. I have synced several films to Google drive and tested and so far the most I have gotten is direct streaming without transcoding working but this is using my bandwidth at home and stuttering badly. Thanks in advance I have uploaded the log from my Openelec. Thanks
Luke 42077 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Hi, the Emby for Kodi plugin currently does not support the cloud sync feature, but the standalone emby apps do.
screwfaze 38 Posted January 21, 2016 Author Posted January 21, 2016 Hi, Thanks for the quick reply. Any plans to add that anytime soon? I use Openelec alot and would love this feature. Thanks. Alex

screwfaze 38 Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 Hi, I have been checking and nothing seems to be happening with this, will be amazing feature for remote kodi users do we need more votes or what to make this happen? Thanks, Al
Angelblue05 4132 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 It will eventually come, the more votes, the more priority it gets when we get to adding features. We are currently working towards a new stable release, so new features are put on hold at the moment.
screwfaze 38 Posted February 14, 2016 Author Posted February 14, 2016 Hi, I know cloud sync is not working with Emby Kodi, how about with folder sync? I have afew glitches whenever streaming while transcoding which I don't have when streaming content that does not require transcoding. Thanks, Al
Angelblue05 4132 Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 You can adjust the cache in Kodi via advancedsettings.xml, if that's your issue while transcoding. No folder sync yet either. We will get there. In fact I'll contact you when I'm ready to implement the feature if that's ok, since I do not use cloud sync or folder sync. Probably the first thing I'm going to look into, after we release the new stable, will be to add emby connect since there is a higher demand for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
screwfaze 38 Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 Hi, Thanks for the reply, I am happy to help test when you are ready. I will try to be patient looking forward to all the new features. Thanks, Al 1

screwfaze 38 Posted March 14, 2016 Author Posted March 14, 2016 Hi, How you doing mate? Any chance you have worked on the Folder or Cloud sync yet I am really in need of this feature and very happy to test anything you need. Thanks, Alex
Angelblue05 4132 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Agreed. I do like to keep things moving... However even I must admit it is a lot. We finally have a stable version going. I have a few things left to adjust regarding music artists. Then emby connect is already on the way. Dynamic url is the last thing I'm probably going to work on, and that is only if it's a simple addition... Something along the lines of grabbing the remote url instead of the local path in the api results... But since I don't use it, I'm not sure if the implementation is complex so we will see once I'm at that point. Anyway thanks for everyone's patience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
