a couple of days ago i was unable to connect to emby via my windows phone. later when i tried emby connect it too would not work. when i returned home a couple of days ago i tried connecting to emby on the server itself. http://localhost:8096/web/dashboard.htmlthis resulted in a "can't reach this page" error. which is odd as the emby icon is in the system tray. i tried restarting the emby server but still couldnt connect. i rebooted the server the problem remained. so i figured id uninstall and reinstall emby. the uninstall seemed to work ... well there were no errors anyway, and the system tray icon and service was no longer there. upon reinstalling i got this error

Error

Could not move system directory to backup

System.IO.IOException

Access to the path

'C:\users\jeff\appdata\roaming\emby-server\system' is denied.

the install continued and the emby icon is again in my shstem tray but i still cannot connect. i've personally made no changes, but win ten did do an auto update, and i beleive i auto update emby as well. attached are my log files,.

thanks for any help.

Hi, which log contains that, since there are a bunch here?

I do see this in one of the later ones, which can usually be cleared up by rebooting the machine

2016-01-20 08:00:17.0840 Error ServerManager: The http server is unable to start due to a Socket error. This can occasionally happen when the operating system takes longer than usual to release the IP bindings from the previous session. This can take up to five minutes. Please try waiting or rebooting the system.

Not sure which one, if any, contain when the error first occured... As I mentioned I uninstalled and reinstalled emby. (without ticking any of the remove all traces boxes)

I can reboot again, see if error still exists. And gather the most recent log if that helps?

This can be marked closed -

Upon reboot the machine installed another windows update, and when I logged in the machine wanted to install "prismo file mount" - which when I checked was in the emby folder so I allowed it. and it's all working again.
