When using service under advanced tab, emby cannot find my windows based network folders

When using service option under the advanced tab(unchecked), emby cannot find my windows based network folders.  However when I do not use service and just use the regular startup and the tray icon emby has no problem finding my network folders.  I have the path substitution set but it has no effect when using the service option under advanced.  Is this expected behavior??  I've attached my server log for diagnosis purposes if this is not expected behavior.

You need to look at the service account that emby is running under and ensure it has permissions to access your folders
