1972 15 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Hi, First of all sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this question: I have a lot of folders organized as, for example: \star wars [boxset]\star wars - a new hope.mkv \star wars [boxset]\star wars - the empire strikes back.mkv \star wars [boxset]\star wars - return of the jedi.mkv With the '[boxset]' keyword a boxset folder icon was created (generated with coverart). This worked fine in MBC, but I don't see this back in for example the web interface, the TV Samsung app and the Android app. Now I must be honest that I haven't used Emby lately a lot, but has this functionaly been removed lately? Or has it been replaced with the Collections functionality?
Luke 42077 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 No they work but they do not get all of the features of the newer style collections that are built with the web interface. Basically you get the boxset metadata but other settings related to Collections don't apply to them.
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Having made the switch over, the collections managed in the UI are vastly more functional for me than the old method using the [boxset] tag. If you decide to update to using Collections, use the autoboxset plugin to create the majority of your likely collections easily. After I've run it once I manage my own collections by hand with things I add. That prevents TMDB edits from mucking about in my collections.
