Cain57 5 Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 (edited) I HATE the RT critics score, it is rarely a predictor of whether or not I'll enjoy a movie, I'd love to have the "popcorn meter" scores. I asked this question and was told it would be impossible to obtain the User/audience scores from RT. Apparently Plex can display the audience score we want: Plex displays the Rotten Tomatoes "All Audience" score, represented by the Popcornmeter icon, by default, but may show the "Verified Ratings" score if the system can't distinguish them or if you've set it to only display Verified Ratings, which can happen with automated metadata tools like Kometa or if the criteria for the "All Audience" score isn't met. Probably because PLEX is bloated and corporate - they might be able to afford the additional cost to offer that feature to their massive user base - if it actually is a feature reserved for a fee? 1 1
Happy2Play 9780 Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 Looking at a 10yr old Reddit topic it was $60,000+ annually. Rotten Tomatoes API? : r/webdev
