New theater playback bug

I've experienced this on two computers with different video processors (one AMD R9, the other an Intel HD).

I open a movie, so far 1080p mkv files but I have not tried other formats yet as my collection primarily is 1080p MKV.

The movie plays back fine.  UNTIL... I use the mouse to drag the playback forward to another time.  At that point, flickering video and sound (basically imagine the movie continues to play from its CURRENT position, and plays from the forward position, simultaneously).  The only way to fix it seems to be to close out ET and restart it.

Please let me know if there is anything I can provide to help track this down.

I have something similar constantly happening.  I can even back out and start playing another or the same video and it plays them overtop of each other, If that makes any sense.  BAsically looks and sounds like its playing both at the same time.

Also, some type of screen saver keeps playing every few minutes while I'm watching stuff, so i have to touch my screen to make it go away.

I'm really close to just installing the old free version again, even though I paid the 100 bucks for limetime premiere

I've noticed this issue when playing a video before the video backdrop has loaded. Can you guys please test if this is the issue. I will try again tonight and submit a bug report for it if this is reproducible.

It is reproducible for me on two different machines (a desktop with AMD R9 290X) and an Intel NUC.  For me, it crops up if I start a movie (either from beginning or resuming) and then if I drag the time ahead to skip forward while the video is already playing, I get the bug.  If I pause, and move the time forward, it will often not exhibit the bug right off.

I can't get mine to do that (it sounded neat so I tried).

Do you have the latest version? .25?

The one I downloaded this afternoon was .24, humorously the one I just pulled is now 1.0.27.  Still getting bugged playback though.

Sequence of events...

1) Start a movie (in my case either an MKV or m2ts 1080p movie)

2) While the movie is playing, use the mouse to drag the movie forward (or backward).  The result, is flickering of video and merged sound.  basically like the video continuing to play as if I did not change the play position, and the new play position, at the same time.

3) Click the back arrow to go back to the Emby Theater menu.  ***I continue to hear one sound stream of the movie playing in the background***

4) Playing the movie again (resume or from beginning), previous sound stream still playing, new one starts, unpredictable behavior occurs at this point.

5) Best option at this point is to close ET down and restart it.

Note... on 1.0.27, some of my movies trigger a dialog box that pops up showing a URL of my Emby server that I have to click "OK" on to make it go away.

Updated to 1.0.31.  Tested with certain movies, and still have the issue.  Some other movies I tested do NOT have the issue.  So it seems to only be certain movies that are being affected.

I have seen this flickering playback issue, the inability to scrub forward or back with the mouse, and also can't close Emby Theater by clicking the X in the upper right hand corner.  Have to use task manager to kill it.

It is very pretty, but my first experience with the new version was not good.  I don't find it usable.  This is a bitter pill given the price of the software.  I don't mind supporting, but when users are asked to pay for a product it should work a little better.  Bug-free is not the expectation, but usable is.  I hope to see these issues addressed.

Just installed 1.0.33, and that seems (so far) to have cured this for me.

I have experienced the video backdrop and content playing at the same time. Have to click pause to stop playback, back out (pressing the back arrow with a mouse doesn't stop playback) and restart the content. If I forget to click pause first, I have to kill the process to fix it.
