Web Client, Android App really slow

Hi there,

 

I'm using emby since many years started with Mediabrowser 2. I like it much and it is grown up to a mighty media platform, respect !

 

But my problem is, that all clients in my enviroment (Web Client and Android App) are more than slow in response. 

At this moment the web client on the server itself shows only the gray background.

 

Clients are running in a ok speed for a short time if the embyserver is fresh restarted.

 

On by Android devices especially Samsung galaxy Tab 3 the app is such slow that I have to wait about 2-3 minutes something happens I have tabbed on !

This begins by starting the app and tab on TV Shows for example.

 

The main access to emby in my enviroment is via Emby for Kodi or Emby for FireTV both are fast.

 

How do I solve the problem ?

hi, this log has quite a bit of background activity occurring, in the form of scheduled tasks, including auto-organize. that's going to require probing media files, rescanning directories, etc. Try limiting the background activity on the machine, both in emby server and from other programs, then see if the system performs better. thanks.

Hi Luke,

 

I changed the scheduled tasks to moderate values. First impression it seems to be much faster. At the moment I only could test the webclient on the local machine and Android app from my Galaxy Note 4 from outside the network. Looks good. Later this day I give my really slow galaxy tab a try.

Hi,

 

now I tested all my devices. All are working with a acceptable speed. Only the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 with intel atom cpu is even slow as before.

Solved,

 

After googleing the mentioned error in logfile for com.google.android.webview, I installed Android System WebView from playstore and the Galaxy Tab goes fast like the other devices, great.
