Need Help with FFMPEG RTSP wont play in Emby, Will in VLC

So I'm having a hard time getting an RTSP stream to play in emby, yet it plays fine in VLC. I'm no pro when it comes to ffmpeg, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

 

When playing in Emby, after a long delay I will get a single still image that just sits there.

 

VLC codec information:

Wow that's a first...  an unanswerable question on the emby forums!

VLC is the end all be all to play anything - I thought Emby, Plex and Kodi all could play any format as well.  Sorry I have not run into this issue with FFMPEG

Just a guess but isn't this the wrong path for a strm file "rtsp://10.0.1.102:554/"?  That is a proper link for VLC, but a different physical different physical file path was given to create that streaming link.  So your strm file should have the same file path you created the VLC stream with.

say what?      the .strm file contains rtsp://flkjfdslkjfsdlkj/   the strm file is in with my library and i can open it and almost start the stream, but i get errors...   not sure i understand what your saying..   VLC can open the RTSP stream and play it.  ffmpeg cant, it tries but has issues.
