Unable to uninstall Emby Theatre

Hi, hope someone might be able to help.

 

Try as i might i can't get Emby Theatre to uninstall, have tried on of my pc's at home (both running win 10 pro x64) if i go to programs and features and select Emby Theatre i get a pop up message saying that the program has already been uninstalled and would i like to delete the program entry from the list.

There doesn't seem to be any way round this, i have tried reinstalling the latest version over the top again but still same issue (both versions of Emby Theatre are the latest)

The only way i managed to get the program to uninstall is by downloading  and running revo uninstaller, and then using advanced mode to search for left over registry entries.

 

Revo uninstaller tells me that the uninstall program? within Emby Theatre didn't run properly.

 

Has anyone else had the same issue or able to offer advice in getting the program to uninstall correctly.

Yep there appears to be no uninstaller in the for this install version.

Hi, thanks for confirming.

That's not to clever then is it, is this going to be fixed. How on earth does something like this get missed?

I know it has to have been recent because I have installed and uninstalled Theater several times over that last year.

Looks like the uninstaller may be universal.  I copied the uninstaller from new ET and put in old ET system folder and uninstalled via control panel/programs, still had to click twice to remove from control panel.

I tried doing this, and I still don't have Media Browser Theater available in "Add/Remove Programs", and if I try to just run the uninstaller manually, it says "Please use programs and features to uninstall". Which kind of sucks because MBT is extremely messed up on my system since the last update, so I was hoping a reinstall might fix it...

Had the same problem, also tried to reinstall Emby Theatre, to no avail.

I sometimes have (probably when a new version is out), the issue that ET cannot sign in to my server anymore

 

I did the following to solve my issue:

* I clicked the uninstaller (which only removes ET from the installed programs list)

* Then i completely removed the Emby-Theater folder files from C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\Roaming\

* Reinstall of ET 

 

The disadvantage is that you need to configure ET again.
