Sammy 790 Posted January 11, 2016 Author Posted January 11, 2016 Any chance that these icons will be improved? These are non-intuitive and low resolution.. Also, I don't want the extra step of this page. Typically I have to Click Movies and TV then find Netflix or Amazon Video then click them and then be presented with a whole bunch more screens to navigate. Can this be simplified? How about setting Favorites on the start screen where you can jump directly where you want to go or at least directly to the provider you want to stream from. 1
Luke 42077 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 You might want to send a note to snazy2000. it could be some time before he sees this 1

Sammy 790 Posted January 21, 2016 Author Posted January 21, 2016 @@snazy2000, is there any update on this? Also, what about load speed? Of all the plugins and channels this is the absolute slowest. Is it pull meta data from the internet each time it loads? Can that be cached instead? I think the only slower thing is the TV Guide and probably for the same reason because all the data needs to be parsed each time?
Kramerika 18 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 As far as the look goes, I liked the original presentation of the channels that was displayed in the image below from the original blog post for the plugin. I would like the option of having that be the default view. This is the way that it is presented in Playon itself. Once you click on the channel, it gives you the links to categories and then drills down further from there. 1
Sammy 790 Posted February 5, 2016 Author Posted February 5, 2016 Now that the Emby database loads PlayOn lightning fast it would be nice to make this screen go away but maybe it isn't possible because it is the first screen you see in the native PlayOn application. Any news @@snazy2000 ? I know you are busy with more important obligations right now so this can most certainly wait..
Luke 42077 Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 where's the addon/pluggin to install? Hi, have you checked the Emby Server plugin catalog? You can learn more about that on our wiki: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Plugins
Sammy 790 Posted August 31, 2016 Author Posted August 31, 2016 IIR, @snazy2000 had a baby but that was a while ago. Can we get any updates on this?
Sammy 790 Posted September 7, 2016 Author Posted September 7, 2016 I did a week ago and never heard back.
brandin.p.lea 0 Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 I have been following this for a while. I just made the switch to playstation vue and cut the cord with the cable company. Because I don't own a PlayStation, or Chromecast, or any other device I took a chance with playon and holy crap, all my channels are nearly available through playon's interface. The only issue is, playon plugin for emby theater is sketchy at best. It almost never loads any of the channels to actually play anything. I have to leave emby theater and watch it on the playon app instead. The menus are hard to navigate through and the recording feature is broken.
Sammy 790 Posted February 13, 2018 Author Posted February 13, 2018 (edited) @@snazy2000 Any chance of an update to this app? Nothing's changed in over a year, nearly two Thanks. Edited February 13, 2018 by Sammy
