DannyN 1 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Hi. I have Hamachi running on the server of which Emby Server has been installed. It appears that Emby is binding itself to the VPN IP Address, as opposed to the LAN address. It appears to be affecting Live TV Recording. If I turn off the VPN, and reboot the machine, Live TV Recording works. As soon as I turn on the VPN, Emby immediately binds to it's IP address, and recording no long works. Log attached . Thanks much, server-63587980799.zip
Luke 42083 Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Hi, welcome. The first thing I would do is update to the latest version of the server and see if the issue persists there.
Luke 42083 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 can you please provide more recording logs because it don't think it has anything to do with network binding. thanks.
DannyN 1 Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 logs.zipHere are a few. The log, ....85360.log was recorded with the VPN off and disabled. I always have to reboot the machine to break Emby from that IP. Even after shutting down the Emby server, disabling the VPN, etc. Thank you...
Luke 42083 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 in the log that ends in 360 i don't see an obvious problem. recording started and 22 minutes later it stopped.
ebr 16187 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 That was the one where he disabled the VPN. Danny - please point us to one where you had the problem. Thanks.
DannyN 1 Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 Ok. Still testing. The recording seems to be working now, either bound to the VPN or not. Going to test some more. .......However, whether they record or not, I continue to get this message when clicking on the Recorded link in "Auto-Organize""Unable to determine season number from D:\media\tv\Series\Days of our Lives\Days of our Lives 2016-01-13 -.tsOK" Is this path substitution correct? I'm running a Dell i7, 4 core, 8gb Ram. 250gb SSD, 4tb Mirrored set of Seagate Drives. From ToD:\media\Movies \\MEDIA-SERVER\media\moviesd:\media\music \\MEDIA-SERVER\media\musicd:\media\photos \\MEDIA-SERVER\media\photosd:\media\videos \\MEDIA-SERVER\media\videosD:\media\tv \\MEDIA-SERVER\media\tv
ebr 16187 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 There is no season number in that file name. Hence, why auto organize was not able to determine it .
DannyN 1 Posted January 14, 2016 Author Posted January 14, 2016 OK. I have "Live TV" Recording Path set to "D:\Media\tv". Auto-Organize watch folder is set to "c:\temp\transcode" Could this be causing a problem?
DannyN 1 Posted January 19, 2016 Author Posted January 19, 2016 Still an issue. Wondering about that question above and the directory locations
Luke 42083 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 what is an issue? because this thread seems to have steered off from it's original topic
DannyN 1 Posted January 19, 2016 Author Posted January 19, 2016 I'll start another. Even when Season info is in file name, still does not "Auto Organize" Thank you
