Chapters in MBT

It's a very nice feature but how come that some movies show chapter pictures and others don't?. Is it a metabrowser problem or does the movie itself contains the chapter pictures?

If you have run the chapter task and there are no chapter images it is most likely due to us not being able to seek into the file to extract them.

What is the file format?

The file format are Ripped BD folders, but where do I find the chapter task

localhost:8096/mediabrowser/dashboard/scheduledtasks.html

(or sub out localhost fot the server ip)

Run chapter image extraction.

I can't quite recall but I think we disabled it for bd folder rips if the playlist contained more that one m2ts file. I will look at the source and get back to you.

Best results are from single files (mkv etc)

Okay, so I am new to media browser, and very, very new to all the tips and tricks to getting it to work properly. My media browser does not recognize chapters at all, and the skip buttons on the remote simply jump 30 seconds back and forth. Also the fast forward and rewind do nothing. How do I actually run the chapter task? I have no idea what "localhost:8096/mediabrowser/dashboard/scheduledtasks.html" is telling me to do. I need the media browser for dummies version of the instructions please. I do have some computer sense, but having never delved in to this program before I don't know where to start.

P.S. I am running Windows 7-64bit and Media Browser version 2.6.2. All my movie files are .mkv with a single .mkv file per folder. My television shows are also .mkv with a folder structure of ...Series Name/Season #/Episode Title.s#e#.mkv

you don't have to do anything on the server in order to skip by chapters in mbt. you're probably just using a remote we haven't added support for yet. we're working on it.

The remote I'm using is:

Vista MCE Remote Control Model No. VRC-1100 (Also goes by the manufacturer name Ortek, according to my Harmony 650 remote)

I guess nobody noticed he said "I am running Windows 7-64bit and Media Browser version 2.6.2"

So it's not even an MB3 or MBT issue. :D
