Help needed, file type to use for WMC?

Hi,

 

I'm brand new to the emby plug-in for WMC. I have it working and it looks great but won't play my blu-ray rips because it says file is not supported? I ripped them all into MKV files. Is there another format I should be using?

 

Also, I am able to stream movies to my TV like servio in which I was using but is there any way to get that cool media center interface menu to display on the TV?

Sounds like you either don't have the proper CODECs installed or missing the splitter.

Install LAV.  Google it.

I use Shark codecs on mine and it plays everything I throw at it. Just watch Sharks installer as it does try to install other crap if you don't watch it (don't just hit next next next).

I still recommend LAV.  Simpler install and less configuration than the other options (Shark includes LAV).
