bludus 5 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Hi, I am running emby server Version 3.0.5782.0 with Chromium browser Version 47.0.2526.106. I cannot play some media files over the internet: emby server stuck on the playback webpage with no error message and no ffmpeg process running. The strange thing is that the same files are played with no issue over the local network, while other files can be played normally. Looking at the logs, I noticed ffmpeg errors in the transcoding logs (attached 3 examples) and a few write errors in the server log (attached). Any help to understand the issue would be appreciated Thanks emby-server-log.txt transcoding-log-2.txt transcoding-log-1.txt transcoding-log-3.txt
Luke 42083 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Hi, welcome. The first thing I would do is update to the latest release of the server and then see if the issue persists. Thanks!
bludus 5 Posted January 9, 2016 Author Posted January 9, 2016 Thanks for the quick reply! Server upgraded to version 3.0.5785.0, but the issue persists (attached example log) transcoding-log-4.txt
Happy2Play 9783 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) Never seen a file be trancoded to a mkv before. /tmp/transcoding-temp/051293cd605a62b7dda61e2f3d399711.mkv Edited January 9, 2016 by Happy2Play
Wireratt 0 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) I had to turn that auto port maping (upnp) off and set my router port forward back to the way it was. My external access was broke after the beta 3.0.5805.0 installed today. Edited January 9, 2016 by Wireratt
bludus 5 Posted January 10, 2016 Author Posted January 10, 2016 @Wireratt: I have turned the option off, but no effect. @Happy2Play: Which should be the container for transcoding? Any suggestion about how to correct this? I have isolated a couple of examples from the logs: one where playback fails, the other where playback is ok. When there is the playback failure, there is a streaming error immediately after ffmpeg command, while in both cases there are write errors afterwards. I have already checked permissions, and they seem ok: emby user has read/write access to relevant folders (emby-server folder and transcoding-temp folder) Once at home, I will look at the logs when movies are played locally; I will let you know. In the meantime, any idea about how to proceed would be appreciated... Thanks emby-server-log-playback-ok.txt emby-server-log-playback-error.txt
Wireratt 0 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) I had to turn it off and go into my router and delete the ports beginning 10.10 it had added. Check the router too. good luck. Edited January 10, 2016 by Wireratt
