Inrego 76 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 A video won't play on my android phone. When I went to the logs folder to get the logs ready for this post, I also noticed it had created lots of transcode logs. Just a few minutes ago, I signed up for the Android app beta, not sure if it has been updated on my phone yet or not. I attached all the logs generated while trying to play this video. transcode logs.zip
Solution Luke 42079 Posted January 9, 2016 Solution Posted January 9, 2016 try changing your user preferences to no subtitles by default. it could just be related to sub/idx 1
Inrego 76 Posted January 9, 2016 Author Posted January 9, 2016 That indeed was it. According to this page: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Android%20Mobile Android should support .sub? Or am I missing something?
Luke 42079 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 libvlc is what we use for playback, and yes it supports it, but we haven't added the ability for it to download your external sub/idx files. So currently it will rely on server transcoding unless they're embedded.
