HC1Gunner 0 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 What is it looking for when it wants the tuner IP address entered? I have server installed on my desktop PC, have a QNAP NAS with ebmy app installed, and Roku 3 emby channel added. Both my PC and NAS asked for tunner ip adress to be entered.
Luke 42078 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 If you're setting up Live TV it would be the ip address of your TV tuner device. Check out our live tv wiki for more info: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Live%20TV
HC1Gunner 0 Posted January 9, 2016 Author Posted January 9, 2016 I'm not doing live TV, I have no TV service, no over the air, no cable, nothing. All I do is stream from Netflix, Amazon, and files from my PC, or NAS. Mainly want to stream from my PC, and NAS. I definitely don't have something setup correctly
Luke 42078 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Ok, thanks. Maybe you should describe your actual issue then. What is the problem you are having?
HC1Gunner 0 Posted January 10, 2016 Author Posted January 10, 2016 I have a Desktop PC and QNAP NAS that I want to share video files to my Roku 3. Is there anymore info you need? Stated in my original post, "I have server installed on my desktop PC, have a QNAP NAS with ebmy app installed, and Roku 3 emby channel added."
Luke 42078 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Hi, sounds great! You can easily do this. What i'm looking to find out is where you're getting stuck so that I can try and help you. Thanks.

Stated in my original post, "I have server installed on my desktop PC, have a QNAP NAS with ebmy app installed, and Roku 3 emby channel added." Perhaps a screenshot showing the prompt you're getting would help. Something like, "I am setting up this option and get this prompt <screenshot>. What do I fill in here?" Is this in the server config, a client, a plugin?
HC1Gunner 0 Posted January 10, 2016 Author Posted January 10, 2016 When you first go through the setup for the server it ask for a tuner IP address, just wondering what they calling the tuner. The PC you running the server from, the address of the Roku, or a generic address
Luke 42078 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 This is what it looks like, and since you don't have a Live TV tuner you probably just want to click the Skip button.
Luke 42078 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I think what I will do to improve this for other new users like yourself, is start with a question "Do you want to setup Live TV?". Then if yes you'll see the above, and if no you'll never see it. 4
computerjackson 0 Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 This is what it looks like, and since you don't have a Live TV tuner you probably just want to click the Skip button. Where do you get the Tuner IP address that you have typed in the box in the photo? Also, does it only work if you put in a source for tv listings? I have the HD home run and I put in what I thought was the IP address but I skipped the page for tv guide info. I don't want to schedule tv recordings, I just want to see live tv. Nothing comes up when I use the app and go to the watch live tv part. Where do you get the Tuner IP address that you have typed in the box in the photo?
x-cimo 23 Posted December 26, 2016 Posted December 26, 2016 You should find the mac address of your hdhomerun (on the sticker on it), when configure your router to always assign the same IP to the device (so it dosen't change). That being said, you can find the current IP of your hdhomerun by installing the hdhomerun software on your computer, then opening HDHomerun setup then on the configuration tab click on the blue device input name, It will open a browser, the address shown in the browser will be the IP of the device.
