Local Art/Kodi compabillity/folder junctions

Hi All

 

I just moved over to use Emby for kodi full time and you guys have really come a long way its really great work.

Though I have run into a few issues.

 

1.

i have Read Emby should work with all kodi skins but Arctic Zephyr dont seem to work with the home screen. Fanart  is not showing up nor is the spotlight

what is the cause of this?

i do know there is a acrtic zephyr skin in the Emby repo but should the kodi skin not work ? 

im thinking maybe it has something to do with this, as I have it set up in Emby. 

but for the files view I just have two entry's both just called emby and I cant acces them whenever i try i just get a connection timed out or connection failed

2. 

Refresh button in Movie info is a big no no to use but can it be set up to refresh the item info in emby instead?

maybe trough modyfing skin files ?

 

3.

Will I be able to use Artwork downloader from within kodi to replace artwork i dont like or will it screw something up ?

Possible Bug.

Since I use a separate download folder for new episodes I've had to create juntion point(folders) and since its mid season for most show I now have to season folders for most shows. So my directory looks like this

This is the directory that emby looks at 

SuperGirl/

Season 1 

S01 (This is the junction point) with media from my other drive for new episodes

and they are both picked up by emby on library scan, but new media is not picked up with the real time updates setting ?

I have fixed this by letting sonarr tell emby to update, and I know it's a temporary problem but if it can be fixed.I think it should be.

 

5.

I have spent many hours getting artwork for my shows and movies and during scan emby seem to have replaced some with new artwork

Should Emby not respect Local art ?

i can just find new artwork again but my worry is i spend hours finding the correct artwork again and later down the line Emby wil overwrite it again.

 

I use the auto boxsets plugin but since im coming from local kodi database I have my collections in collections folders with their own artwork is there a way to get the plugin to use this artwork and possibly make it save to these folders ?

The structure looks like this

Harry Potter Collection/

Fanart.jpg 

poster.jpg

logo.png

Harry potter movie1/

harry potter movie1.mkv

Harry potter movie2/

Harry potter movie2.mkv 

 and so on.......

 

And lastly I read here on the forums that I should be able to create smart playlist from the views tags but i cant seem to figure it  out 

I created a smart playlist in kodi with Tag is Cartoon Series and set it as Tvshow but it dosent seem to work ?
