foghat 65 Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) Hey all, I moved all my movies and tv shows to a new NAS this weekend - as such the path to all the media changed. Removed the old libraries, added the new libraries (spread out over 3 drives) and started a scan. 2.5 hours later I am at about 63%. Not sure what is going on - all the media already have the images and .xml downloaded. It does look like a handful of items have been updated with newer images/xml. But only a handful or 2. That said, my network has been constantly at about 80ish Mbps down recorded from the server. Not sure what is going on there. Thoughts? Is this normal a 'first' scan like this would take so long? I'd get it if everything was brand new and it had to download all the image and write the .xml for each item, but that is not the case here. Thanks. I should add, my library is not all that big. About 250 movies and 350 or so episodes. Edited January 5, 2016 by foghat
ebr 16187 Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Do you have the option to generate chapter images turned on?
speechles 2055 Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) Have you ran the clean database task? After moving things around to new paths this should be done to prune the orphaned duplicates from the database. Also if you use the boxsets plugin you should definitely run a cleaning after movie paths change. Edited January 5, 2016 by speechles
foghat 65 Posted January 5, 2016 Author Posted January 5, 2016 Do you have the option to generate chapter images turned on? Ahhhh. Yes I do. And I have it set to generate during the scan. I guess it is regenerating for each movie - that would explain things. And now that I think about it, since I have moved to Kodi, I don't even really need the chapter images - still nice to have for the web client though. Have you ran the clean database task? After moving things around to new paths this should be done to prune the orphaned duplicates from the database. Also if you use the boxsets plugin you should definitely run a cleaning after movie paths change. Clean database was run after old library paths were removed and before new ones were added.
