Season not picking up episodes?

Trying to figure out why just *one* series is not picking up the episodes - it puts in the "missing" virtual episodes, but even though it notices the files are there, it never seems to do anything with the files.

When I do a force refresh (or identify, doesn't matter), I see a bunch of exceptions that seem to be related to saving of images.  And then it just stops.

Would not being able to save the images cause the episodes of a season *not* to be picked up?

Attached the partial log of the forced refresh.

Thanks!

\Shares\Videos\Animes\Shomin Sample\Season 1\

  -- Shomin Sample - S01E01 - ... .mkv

  -- Shomin Sample - S01E02 - ... .mkv

  ...

  -- Shomin Sample - S01E12 - ... .mkv

The series folder will have the images and the series.xml file, but the Season 1 folder won't have any of the usual metadata files or directories.

In the web interface, the series shows up with the correct metadata, but all the episodes are the virtual "missing" episodes (but they have the correct episode description, so it downloaded the data).

As far as I can tell, there's nothing special about the files, in terms of the MKV, but it doesn't even seem like Emby is getting to the point of looking at the files.

the word sample in the folder might be causing a problem due to sample ignoring. there's nothing you can do right now unfortunately. we'll try to look at it soon

Ah!  OK, I'll try to rename it to the original Japanese title and see if that bypasses the issue.

Bingo!  That was it - I renamed the folder and the files to use the Japanese series title instead of the English ones and it's being picked up now.

Thanks for the heads up!  Would have never figured the word "sample" could cause issues.

I believe this was done to ignore sample clips included in pirate movie releases
