Karlsson 0 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Going through one of my Home Video libraries and discovered that Emby made some of my videos into Movies. How is that even possible? It's "Home Videos" ffs. That's extremely annoying. What's the cause? How do I fix this?
Luke 42083 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Why do you think they were made into Movies?
Indefinite 0 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) I'm having the same issue but only with Emby for Kodi. Since the last update, all of the videos in my 'Home Videos' folder are now displaying in the movies section in Kodi. Basically it looks like Kodi is reading both Home Video and Movie folders as one even though they are separate. I have a TV folder as well, and that is displaying as a separate category correctly. On every platform except for Emby Kodi the Home Video and Movie folders are displaying correctly (separate, individual categories). Before the update, these two folders were separate categories in Kodi, just like TV and Movies. Edited January 1, 2016 by Indefinite
Karlsson 0 Posted January 5, 2016 Author Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) Why do you think they were made into Movies? Because emby decided to download images and metadata of movies for some of my videos. Edited January 5, 2016 by Karlsson
Karlsson 0 Posted January 5, 2016 Author Posted January 5, 2016 A theory I have is that Emby remembers stuff from an earlier Library I had for the same location. How do I totally remove all the metadata and other stuff? Just erasing the library doesn't work.
ebr 16187 Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Remove the library and let the clean database task run. Then add it back as Home Videos.
